Sometimes, your iPhone freezes and you may need to reboot or restart your iPhone. When your iPhone freezes, it will not respond to any of your action. You have to turn off your iPhone and then turn it on again.
In order to turn off your iPhone, press and hold the “Power” button until you see a slider: “Slide to power off”. Simply drag the slider from the left to the right to turn off your iPhone.
Wait a few seconds and then your iPhone will be turned off.
Next, press and hold the “Power” button again until you see the Apple logo on the display of your iPhone.
If this way doesn’t work, try the method below.
Force Reboot / Restart iPhone, iPad, iPod
If the method above does not work, then you have to force your iPhone to reboot / restart by pressing and holding both “Power” and “Home” buttons for at least 10 seconds. Your iPhone will automatically turn off and turn on. Only release both buttons when you see the Apple logo on the screen of your iPhone.
Remember to press and hold both “Power” and “Home” buttons for at least 10 seconds. If you press both of them and then release them quickly, your iPhone just takes a screenshot of the screen, rather than reboot / restart your iPhone. This method also helps to turn your iPhone on when it won’t automatically turn on.
Both methods also work on iPhone, iPad and iPod. You can use these methods to reboot or restart them.
