Today, Microsoft just released the Windows 10 build 10240 for both Insider Fast and Slow users, and according to The Verge, this is the Release to Manufacturing (RTM) version, a complete Windows 10 version and ready to release to the market.

The build number on the right corner of the screen are no longer available, and you can find it by do Search > Winver to see your version number. So it’s not just a normal beta version like previous versions. In this update, there are no new features, Microsoft just fix some bugs and improve stability of the system.

If you want to get this update, go to Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update > Check for updates. It’s required you to be logged in with your Microsoft Account in order to receive the build.

The company also claimed that the performance of Edge browser is improved, and even better and is beating Google’s Chrome and Apple’s Safari browsers on their own JavaScript benchmarks.

Microsoft Edge browser JavaScript benchmarks results:

  • On WebKit Sunspider, Edge is 112% faster than Google Chrome
  • On Google Octane, Edge is 11% faster than Google Chrome
  • On Apple JetStream, Edge is 37% faster than Google Chrome

So, it’s just a month ahead and I think Microsoft will release some small updates to fix bugs and improvements. And the build 10240 should be the final build of Windows 10, known as RTM version.
