Caterpillar is a company that manufacturing and selling engine and machinery, but also running the rugged smartphone lineup. The company has recently announced a new rugged Android smartphone called Cat S40.
The Caterpillar Cat S40 features an IP68 certificate, which allows the smartphone can work under the water up to one meter for up to one hour. It also has a Military Standard 810G certificate, dust-proof and shock-proof / drop-proof.
The Cat S40 sports a 4.7-inch Quad HD Super Bright display with Gorilla Glass 4, powered by a 1.1GHz quad-core Snapdragon 210 CPU, with 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. It also has an 8-megapixel main camera, 2-megapixel front camera, a 3,000 mAh battery as well as runs on Google’s Android 5.1 Lollipop.
The phone will be available in August 1st, around the world, in more than 60 countries for about $600.
