Sony Xperia Z will get Google Android Lollipop update this week

Sony Xperia Z get Android Lollipop updates

According to the Twitter tweet from @SonyPHinc (Sony Phillipines), Sony will roll out the Google’s Android 5.0 Lollipop update for Sony Xperia Z, in this week. And of course, another source has confirmed about this statement, from an XDA member: @gbil.

The Sony Xperia Z smartphone was released in February 2013, it’s two years old device and despite that, Sony still keeps its plan to release Android Lollipop update for the device.

Take a look at a leaked image of Xperia Z running Google’s Android 5.0 Lollpop.

So, if you and other Xperia Z users received the update by the end of this week, it’s a very good news and more lucky than HTC users, who own the One mini and One mini 2. They won’t have any change to get official Lollipop updates. Maybe they should try some firmware from the XDA forum.
