Finally, LG has officially introduced its new Windows Phone 8.1 called Lancet, the middle range smartphone. It seems the company has decided to return to the Windows Phone platform and has business planned to prepare to the release of Windows 10 Mobile, this summer.
The LG Lancet is a 4.5-inch smartphone with TFT display and powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chipset, with a 1GB of RAM. It also has an 8GB of internal storage and expandable, an 8-megapixel main camera, a VGA front camera with a 2,100 mAh battery.
It will run on Windows Phone 8.1 operating system, and some new features like KnockOn, Gesture Shot and Soft Light. If you would like to buy this middle range smartphone, it will be available from Verizon for $120 (free SIM model) or $19.99 per month on contract, available starting next week.
We still don’t know if the Lancet will get Windows 10 Mobile or not, but with its specifications, it has passed the hardware requirement.
