The new Gigabit Internet of Comcast is faster than Google Fiber twice times (2Gbps) and will hit the northern California in this June, according to the company news.
Called as the Gigabit Pro, this gigabit broadband service will be delivered via a fiber to home solution and all customers in the Chico, Fresno, Yuba City/Marysville, Modesto, Merced, Monterey, Sacramento, San Francisco Bay Area, Salinas, Santa Barbara County, Stockton and Visalia metro areas; will get it.
If you are out of range, Comcast has another good plan for you: the Extreme 250 with 250Mbps internet speed tier for California customers. The company also upgrade internet speed of the Performance tier from 50 Mbps to 75 Mbps, and the Blast tier from 105 Mbps to 150 Mbps, without additional cost, will effect in May.
If you are living near the Comcast fiber network, so you will be able to get the Comcast’s fastest internet tier with 2Gbps of speed. In earlier this month, the company also announced the Gigabit Pro in Atlanta, GA.
