Last month, Samsung has announced its newest eMMC 5.1 flash memory and they also bring it to the latest flagship smartphones: the Galaxy S6 and S6 edge. Following the footstep, Toshiba today announced the eMMC 5.1 flash memory with capacity from 16GB to 128GB.
This generation of the eMMC is more secure and the performance is higher 30 percent than the previous generation. However, most mobile makers only embedded this new eMMC into its flagship. But we can expect it on middle range phones in the next year (maybe when the next generation of eMMC released).
