Apple doubled the size limit of iOS apps from 2GB to 4GB


If you are a developer for iOS apps, you already know Apple has limited the size of apps in the Apple’s App Store at 2GB. But things have changed, Apple has increased the size of iOS app up to 4GB that the developers don’t need to worry about the size of app anymore.

Apple has limited iOS apps size at 2GB since the launch of the App Store and it’s a big limitation for most game developers like the Final Fantasy was delayed more than a year or the Skylanders game got trouble with the release of new levels.

In Android OS, the developers was able to work with larger apps from 50MB to 4GB since Google raised the size of Android apps back in 2012.
